“Oh My God” is the title track of (G)I-dle’s third mini album, I Trust, which was released April 6. The entire album is written, composed, and arranged by the group’s leader, Soyeon, and honestly, if that isn’t reason enough to stan, then the title track’s hypnotic, alluring, and haunting music video will definitely seal the deal!

(G)I-dle also announced April 8 that they had partnered with Republic Records for stateside promotions, making I Trust their official US debut! Congratulations, (G)I-dle!✨

BTS announced Bang Bang Con, a special weekend-long livestreaming event for fans.

Get ready, BTS ARMY, because BTS is holding the ultimate fan experience next weekend, and you can join in from home!

Bang Bang Con is a free livestreaming event that will take place April 18 and 19. Beginning at 12 p.m. KST (11 p.m. EDT) and going until 12 a.m. KST (11 a.m. EDT) each day, BTS will be broadcasting their past fan meets and concerts on their YouTube channel, BANGTANTV.

And, to make the entire experience ever cooler, if you’re a fan of BTS, have a Weverse account, and own a BTS light stick, you can use the Bluetooth function on the Weverse app during the livestream and sync your light stick to the concert so that it lights up and changes color during the stream! I personally can’t wait to sing my heart out next weekend to all my favorite tunes!

K-pop idol Wonho signed with Highline Entertainment as a solo artist.

On April 9, Wonho announced that he had signed an exclusive contract as a solo artist with Highline Entertainment, a subsidiary label of Starship Entertainment, whose artists include Monsta X and Cosmic Girls. Within minutes, the hashtags #WelcomeBackWonho and #OurProducerWonho were trending worldwide.

In a statement, Wonho said, “I really appreciate the fans for giving me this opportunity, and I will do my best to repay your support.”

On the same day, Wonho also opened his official Twitter, Instagram, and fan cafe for fans to join. Congratulations, Wonho! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. ✨

Seventeen and Monsta X both canceled tour dates because of the coronavirus.

According to Soompi, Monsta X and Seventeen canceled their own individual tours this week because of the coronavirus pandemic.

On April 6, Monsta X announced via Twitter that the Seoul dates of their Monsta X World Tour, originally scheduled for May 9 and 10, had been canceled. Seventeen followed suit on April 8, releasing a statement on Twitter explaining that their monthlong Japan Dome Tour, set to begin May 9, had been canceled too.

Other K-pop fan events (like Ateez’s fan party) have also been canceled or postponed as a result of the coronavirus.

TXT joined Bebe Rexha for an Instagram Live, and it was so stinkin’ cute!

TXT’s leader, Soobin, is known as Bebe Rexha’s “biggest fan” among the group, and their Twitter interactions in the past have been nothing short of adorable!

The livestream, which took place April 6, saw the two artists discussing the importance of interacting with fans and promoting social distance during the coronavirus pandemic, but also sharing fun tidbits about their favorite foods and musical inspirations. Bebe also shared a short preview of a new song, and Tomorrow X Together’s reactions to it were incredibly wholesome.

Mamamoo, April, and more will perform at a benefit concert for coronavirus relief, while AOMG will hold their own coronavirus benefit livestream.

The Live K Concert, hosted by KT, will be broadcast April 11 and will include performances by Mamamoo, Kim Jae-hwan, April, and B.O.Y. According to Soompi, there will be no live audience in attendance, to encourage social distancing, and all proceeds from the event will go to the NGO Good Neighbors to help those suffering as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Just a day later, on April 12, hip-hop label AOMG will be holding its own livestream — AOMG Quarantine Nonstop Live — to promote social distancing as well. According to the Korea Herald, the label’s artists (whose roster includes artists like Loco, Gray, and Hoody) and their friends will perform on both AOMG’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, with all proceeds from the livestream going to families struggling during the pandemic.
